Hello! I am Kimberly Taylor Judy and I started "Move with Purpose Firearms & Defense Training, LLC" because of the lack in training available to those who need it most.
In life you have to MOVE- with intentional, authentic, purpose.
Defense is no different.
People have been convinced "Defense" starts with the right hit, or the right kick, at the right time.
While this is true. There is a lie within that viewpoint.
I want you to learn: Strategy is EVERYTHING; technique comes after because on the street, there are no rules - your ability to ACT is critical.
I have survived more than most, and there is no confusion at the root of that survival, lies a resiliency mindset. The physical, verbal and mental tactics I've used and learned through my time as a Police Officer, and I now teach and speak on as a Speaker and Defense Trainer are tactics which ensure you make it home every night, and you thrive in life.
After years of training and serving alongside the most elite. I made it my personal mission to begin a defense business that would teach and train the most practical, daily used and needed options in defense.
As the years have gone by, I have been able to serve thousands and work with some of the best!
In my training I make one promise : You will leave understanding more, recognizing how to make moves that are purposeful, and realizing where your weaknesses may exist and how to combat them.

Please know I recognize some clients may have sensitive spots from previous experiences in their lives. I recognize these experiences often bring about a natural apprehension to taking a defense course or to even discussing some topics. This is normal and natural. As a former victim counselor, I am well equipped to discuss the route that is best for a great training experience that allows my students to leave feeling empowered and able to find and confidently use their voice--rather than facing the world with apprehension and fear.

to Conceal Carry Classes
As a former Federal Police officer, I can assure you, Firearms training is not one size fits all! Especially for females! That is why I designed my company differently. It's imperative in today’s world and climate that you receive the training done in a manner natural to you!
My firearms training will prepare you for any day-to-day situation where a higher level of defense is needed. Training with me means having opportunities to train for basic familiarity, your conceal carry, to a more proficient and advanced level with the same instructor- which means you get fluidity and an understanding of your natural abilities and learning style.
I offer various courses that will allow you to become better equipped to handle yourself and protect your loved ones should the need arise. You can begin with a Basic Handgun Familiarity Course or the Virginia Conceal Carry Course.
